You know, I normally wouldn’t post things that go on sites such as efagz on my political blog — not my style. But when tumblr starts getting involved and actually censoring people, then I start getting concerned.

So there’s Felice Fawn, a stereotypical “tumblr famous” girl. She tends to put up this facade of being very sophisticated, very intelligent, and basically sits on stickam and tumblr deleting all the evidence of her crimes.

Long story short — one of Felice’s “tumblr famous” friends, Tahti, decided that she wanted to order some of custom made shoes from Felice’s now-defunct clothing line, Deumos. Although Felice had received Tahti’s money, Tahti’s shoes never came. After a few months, Tahti demanded that she get a refund — which she also never received. Thankfully, she decided to speak out and posted her much-anticipated review on Felice’s clothing line. Now that Tahti has spoken out, so have others.

The review outlines:

• After waiting for three months and two weeks, she did not receive a thing. Not the item she paid for or any money refunded. The last email she received from Felice was on the 25th of May and the last tumblr message was a half month later.
• Since then, she’s been keeping up contact with Felice’s boyfriend, Rich with absolutely no communication with Felice.
• She’s been attempting to contact both Felice and Rich with no avail. Felice maintains that the shoes were lost in the mail and Rich maintains that they are going to refund the money — nothing yet.
• Three weeks ago, it was confirmed that Felice would give Tahti a refund and some additional items as an apology. It was said that the item would be sent next Monday. Didn’t happen — Tahti was told to wait until September first.
• She was supposed to get her money and items on September the first. This did not happen. Tahti sent Rich a message ( screenshot here ) but has not received any contact since.

You guys are probably bored. I wouldn’t be posting this if it weren’t of some importance. This is where it gets interesting and this is where it begins to concern me ( aside from the fact that Felice has basically committed some sort of crime, I’m positive. )

People have gone into an outrage over this. People have began to speak up against Felice and give their own accounts of being ripped off by her. Lots of these people have spoke on up on tumblr. There was even a blog — Felice Scam — made to document what was going on. It was taken down a few mere hours later. This was after Felice made a rather cryptic post saying she loved the tumblr staff.

It goes beyond this. On the efagz post — which is unfortunately members only BUT the membership is open for anyone interested — people who have been posting and reblogging about the scandal have received this interesting message:

People who have spoken up about the Felice controversy have been censored, then people who spoke about the censorship have been censored. So far, the only blog that has been deleted that we are aware of is the Felice Scam blog — deleted a few hours after it was made. The creator has been posting on the efagz post:

I sent an e-mail to the Tumblr staff, I don’t think they’ll care though.

I’m sorry, how is the Felice Scam Tumblr harrasment when its aim was to stop a scamming person to continue ripping their customers off?

It baffles me that you would rather defend a thief than the people damaged by them, it makes absolutely no sense. This person is known for sellng products online and never shipping them nor giving them a refund.

I guess if someone stole me and I’d reclaim my money back then that is harrasment too? Please explain to me why.

I know that you may not care about the actual ~drama surrounding the situation, I didn’t either. But the tumblr staff has sprung to her rescue, deleting a tumblr outlining her crime and censoring concerned people. The same site that has sprung into action to help Felice hide her crimes is the same site you’re using at the moment. I’ve seen the tumblr staff do a lot of downright worrying things — but this? This is censorship.
